Wayne Thiebaud's Use of Color

Wayne Thiebaud is known for color rich images of cakes, pies, and other tasty treats. His use of color is inspired by what he sees, but not limited to what he sees. The use of colors based on the desire of the artist, and not on what is visually present is called, arbitrary color.
